Happy 2013! and Happy 100!

It is the start of a healthy new year!  Ironically, I rang it in lying sick on the couch, but now I am ready for great things in 2013.  To celebrate this, as well as writing my 100th post, I decided to give one of my readers a healthy cookbook to start the year off right.  Well, I picked names out of a hat and congratulations, Laura, you are the lucky winner!  Something healthy Laura did in 2012 was eat Larabars.  There is currently a coupon on coupons.com (thanks, Megan) for these tasty, wholesome treats!

The reason I gave away this book is because I have recognized a need to tweak my cooking style.  In 2012, I wanted to simplify, and I did to the point of extreme when it came to my cooking practices.  Being pregnant, then having a newborn and a toddler to care for, “the easier the better” became my mantra.  However, that was not always the best option when it came to healthy cooking.

True Food: Seasonal, Sustainable, Simple, Pure
The name of this book is, “True Food: Seasonal, Sustainable, Simple, and Pure”.  I like that concept, and I want to try new, healthy, and tasty things this year.  As I try some new things in this cookbook, I hope to share them with you!  Thanks for your support and encouragement!
